De-Multiplexing & Muxing

You can add more sources in tabs, like the browser would open another browser tab. The maximum count of sources (tabs) is limited to value 4. Video is always used from the first source. The others are only for audio and metadata.

We provide synchronization across tabs and all inputs should be MPEG-TS-based (RTP, UDP, SRT).

Twenty-One Encoder is also capable of muxing multiple streams such as audio inputs, captions, and metadata streams into a single output stream. Currently, the list of supported input data is as follows:

  • Video:
    • Generic single program MPEG transport stream
      • encapsulation – standard TR01, Evertz TR01, MediaLinks TR01, legacy NetInsight TR01
      • JPEGXS – 4:2:2, 10-bit, up to 3840x2160p60/i60
      • high-bitrate JPEG2000 – 4:2:2, 10bit, up to 3840x2160p60/i60
      • H262 – 4:2:0, 8bit, up to 3840x2160p60/i60
      • H264 – 4:2:2/4:2:0, 8bit/10bit, up to 3840x2160p60/i60
      • H265 – 4:2:0, 8bit/10bit, up to 3840x2160p60
  • Audio:
    • AES3 uncompressed (SMPTE 302M)
    • MPEG2 audio
    • AAC (ADTS, LATM)
    • AAC-HE V1/2 (ADTS, LATM)
    • AC3
    • E-AC3
  • Closed Captions:
    • SMPTE 2038 (608/708)
  • Metadata:
    • LTC timestamps
    • MPEG TS PCR
